Hello all,

I would like to know the numerical method fast Henry's based on?
Also, how is done the meshing?
Is there any link between meshs cells and skin depth?

No FEM method. We also don't solve for the fields but directly for the currents. Please check the paper, it is quite comprehensive (shorter versions exist, but this is guiding you in the details).
Source code is also available, if you are curious - you can download it from the 'download' page, at the bottom.

In the example of the user's guide, there is some different size of meshs cells, is there any local meshing close to the edge?
I was wondering if fast Henry used FEM method...
I'll have a look on this PH-D carefully and recome back to you if needed.

Yes, of course. This is detailed in the User's manual, please check there, there is also a practical example.

Meshing is quite basic, and it is user defined. For segments, you define in the input file in how many filaments the segment should be broken (and this can be manually calculated according to the skin depth at your maximum frequency of interest).
For planes, you have additional degrees of freedom, since you can specify the number of segments in the x,y,z directions (relative to the plane), or even non-uniform meshes, see the second part of the User's guide, dedicated to non-uniform gnd planes.

There are many papers detailing the method, the best one if you are interested in FastHenry only is M. Kamon, "Efficient Techniques for Inductance Extraction of Complex 3-d Geometries", Master's Thesis at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Feb 1994. You can freely download the thesis from the MIT web page (see Links under the Services web page) or via Google Scholar.
