The Windows version is GUI based, so in principle you don't need the terminal.
If you need to use FastHenry2 (as well as FastCap2 and FasterCap) via an external application, you have powerful capabilities to do so through Windows Automation. This feature allows you to control FastHenry2 by any language supporting Automation, including for instance Perl, VBA inside Excel or Word, Visual Basic scripting from a DOS Shell, etc.
